I want to buy a female dachshund for sale but I don't know were to go.I live in fort worth texas and please no stupid answers because last time some people really sent me a nasty letter I didn't appreciateWere can i find a longhared female dachshund for sale?
You got nasty comments because in your last question you asked about getting a ';cheap'; breeding dog.
A breeding quality dog wont come ';cheap';.. to obtain a quality specimen, you really need to seek out a reputable show breeder and get a show quality dog.. you can probably expect to pay around $2,000 and up to get a breeding quality animal.. you will also have to dedicate yourself to showing the dog, earning its CH title and paying several hundred on genetic health tests. Breeding isnt ';cheap';..
To find a breeder, use the breed club for a referral.. http://www.dachshund-dca.org/
If you are just seeking a pet to SPAY AND NEUTER.. then try rescue, there's LOTS of dachshunds in need of homes. www.petfinder.com
dont use sites like puppy find.. you will only find back yard breeders and puppy millers there.. there's no healthy or quality specimens there. Were can i find a longhared female dachshund for sale?
Well www.petfinder.com always has a great selection of any breed of dog,any size looking for good homes.Lots of breeders put them on their because they are responsible and afraid their dogs might go to irresponible homes. On petfinder,u actually get to meet up with the people and the dog to see how compatible you are.its a fantastic site.
Also, try looking around on Google for responsible breeders in Texas.I live in Arkansas not to far and we r one of the states filled with puppymills:[ Its horrible. So just be careful.
Visit the Dachshund Club of America website http://www.dachshund-dca.org
They have a list responsible breeders in the U.S. If a breeders is not a DCA member, actively show their dogs in conformation, does gentic health testings for PRA, sells pups on spay/neuter agreement, don't buy from them.
Also, any breeder advertising ';rare'; colors/patterns, you should run from.

Also, responsible breeders will not sell an ';show quality'; dog with breeding rights to a person who is new to dogs.
you could check the newspaper in your area online or ';in the newspaper'; or you could check out petfinder.com which has a great ';pet finder'; system. You could even post up your own ad which asks for a longhaired female dachshund on the web or anywhere. Try the pound/ animal shelter (Humane Society) even. Good luck anyways!
go to PuppyFind.com You can find any breed in any area of the country and they really have some nice pups.
